Quick answer: Dropship.io is a product research subscription built on TikTok Shop sales data, Facebook ad data and online store listings. It is a solid research feed for sellers who run a Shopify store and buy social traffic. For an eBay seller it is a weak primary tool, because none of its data comes from eBay and it can't put a product into an eBay store. Plans run $39, $59 and $99 a month, or $26, $34 and $49 a month billed yearly, on its pricing page as of Sep 2026.
- What it does well: TikTok Shop product and shop tracking, a Facebook ad library with spend estimates, store-level competitor search, and a weekly drop of hand-picked products with supplier links.
- Where it stops for eBay: no eBay sold history, no eBay sell-through data, and imports go to Shopify or AutoDS, not to eBay.
- Worth knowing: Trustpilot currently shows that Dropship's rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines.
- Our pick for eBay sellers: eBay's own Product research for demand, then Ecomli's Product Hunting to turn eBay sold history into sourced, listed products.
Ecomli makes the eBay dropshipping tool we recommend at the end of this review, so read the verdict with that in mind. Every Dropship.io figure below comes from its own pricing page or public listings, checked in September 2026, and the review is written from one question: if you sell on eBay, will paying for Dropship.io change what ends up in your store?
Dropship.io review: what the tool does in 2026
Many reviews describe Dropship.io as a Shopify research tool, and its Shopify app is still listed that way. The product on its pricing page today is broader, and most of its data now comes from TikTok Shop and Facebook. It is best understood as a set of libraries and trackers, metered by monthly credits.
Product Library and Shop Library (TikTok Shop)
The Product Library searches TikTok Shop products with sales and revenue figures, filters for price, revenue, sales volume, variants and shop size, and keyword search with exclusions. Dropship.io says its database holds more than 85 million product listings. The Shop Library does the same at shop level, with revenue growth that compares the latest 30 days with the 30 days before. Viewing a product or a shop uses one credit, and credits reset at the start of each billing cycle.
Trackers and the Creator Library
You can track individual TikTok Shops and products to follow daily and monthly sales, price and rating changes. The Creator Library looks at TikTok creators who promote products, with their videos, sales and revenue, for sellers who want to work with creators.
Ad Library, Advertiser Library and Advertiser Tracker (Facebook)
These cover Facebook ads. You can search millions of ads by creative type, ad spend, reach, product price, country and ad copy language, then follow an advertiser's new ads and spending. The advertiser figures are estimates based on EU ad spend and reach.
Competitor Research
Competitor Research searches millions of product listings to find which online stores sell a product, filtered by price, creation date, number of images, variants and keywords. From here a product can be imported in one click to Shopify or to AutoDS. Basic allows 20 searches a day. Standard and Premium are unlimited.
Portfolio (weekly product drops)
Every week, Dropship.io's team releases hand-picked products: 20 a week on Basic, 30 on Standard and 40 on Premium. Each drop comes with benefits and drawbacks, a saturation view, competitors, the Facebook and TikTok ads behind it, AliExpress and Alibaba suppliers, and a numbers breakdown. Because the drops come from Dropship.io's team rather than your own filters, assume other subscribers are looking at the same products.
AI Search, Magic AI Search and the Chrome extension
AI Search takes a plain-language request and returns matching products, ads or shops, with 100, 200 or 400 credits a month by plan. Magic AI Search takes an uploaded image and finds visually similar TikTok Shop products, active ads or competing stores. The Chrome extension brings Facebook ad spend data, Shopify store analysis and one-click imports onto pages you browse.
All of that is competent, and a beginner can build a shortlist in an afternoon. Two things sit outside the product. It doesn't manage listings once they are live, and it has no eBay data or eBay import. Its pricing page doesn't mention eBay at all.
Dropship.io pricing in 2026
There are three plans. All include the core tools, and the differences are credit allowances, tracker slots, Portfolio size and import caps. Prices are from the Dropship.io pricing page as of Sep 2026:
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Product Library credits | Competitor Research | Portfolio | Shopify imports |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $39 a month | $26 a month ($312 a year) | 10,000 a month | 20 searches a day | 20 products a week | 100 a month |
| Standard | $59 a month | $34 a month ($408 a year) | 25,000 a month | Unlimited | 30 products a week | 250 a month |
| Premium | $99 a month | $49 a month ($588 a year) | 50,000 a month | Unlimited | 40 products a week | 500 a month |
Other allowances scale the same way. The Shop Library gets 5,000, 12,500 or 25,000 credits a month, TikTok Shop tracking covers 10, 25 or 50 shops and 25, 50 or 100 products, and the Advertiser Tracker follows 10, 25 or 50 advertisers. Standard is marked as the most popular plan. The FAQ says you can start at no charge and cancel from your account settings at any time, and your plan stays active until the end of the billing cycle. Extra seats are listed as coming soon.
Credits are spent when you view products, shops, ads or creators, not when you find something that sells. A month of exploratory browsing can use up a plan's allowance without producing a product you list, and unused credits reset rather than roll over. That is normal for research software, but it means you are paying for query volume, not results.
Where Dropship.io's data comes from, and why that matters on eBay
Every signal Dropship.io sells comes from a market where the seller creates the demand. On TikTok Shop, a creator's video puts a product in front of someone who wasn't looking for it. On Facebook, an ad interrupts a scroll. The products that win there are visual, easy to demonstrate, impulse-priced and new enough to stop a thumb. When the Product Library shows a product doing strong monthly revenue, the honest reading is that a creator or an ad account is doing that revenue with the product as the hook.
eBay works the other way. Buyers arrive already typing a query, often a precise one, and the way Cassini ranks listings decides which of the sellers offering that item they see first. The products that win are often the opposite of viral: replacement parts, specific sizes and fitments, refill packs, and plain items with steady searches and thin competition. A trending gadget with a saturated ad market often lands on eBay as a listing with a few watchers and no sales, because the demand it relied on was made somewhere else.
Here is how that plays out on a single product. Take a posture-correcting back brace, a long-running social-ad product. On TikTok or Facebook it sells on a before-and-after video to a buyer who never compares prices. On eBay the same item sits on a results page next to dozens of other back braces, many from sellers who have held their spots for years, and the buyer sorts by price. The listing that wins there is rarely the trending one. It is a specific size, a compatible replacement or a multipack nobody else bothered to list. Neither market is harder. They reward opposite instincts.
That doesn't make competitor tracking a bad idea. Following a seller who has already solved the demand problem is the fastest research method there is. The issue is which sellers you are allowed to follow. Dropship.io points that lens at TikTok Shops, Facebook advertisers and online stores. An eBay seller needs it pointed at eBay stores, where the sold history, price points, shipping promises and item specifics all come from the marketplace the listings will live on.
In practice, a shortlist from Dropship.io has to be re-checked against eBay demand before you spend money on it, which roughly doubles the research work. You also can't tell from TikTok data whether an item breaks eBay rules, such as a brand that enforces its rights through eBay's VeRO program.
What eBay product research needs that Dropship.io doesn't collect
Five inputs decide whether an eBay product is worth listing. A TikTok or Facebook database holds none of them.
eBay sold history. eBay's own Product research, in the Seller Hub Research tab, gives any seller with Seller Hub access the last 3 years of eBay sales data for millions of items: sales trends, average sold price, sold price range, average shipping cost and the number of sellers who sold the item. It is real transaction history, not an estimate, and our guide to using Terapeak and Product research shows how to read it. That is also why our roundup of eBay product research tools treats it as the starting point.
Sell-through rate. On eBay the number that predicts money is sell-through rate: how many listed units actually sold in a window. Product research shows it for searches of items sold 90 days ago or less. A product with hundreds of active listings and a handful of sales is a different business from one with the same sales and a few listings, even if a revenue-ranked database shows them the same way.
Category economics. eBay's final value fee is 13.6% of the total sale plus $0.40 per order over $10 in most categories, and some categories differ, according to eBay's selling fees page. A product with a healthy margin on an ad-driven store can be underwater on eBay once that fee and delivery cost land. Our guide to eBay selling fees has the full tables, and an eBay sales calculator puts your own numbers through them.
Listing fit. eBay decides what to show partly on how completely a listing describes itself: item specifics, compatibility fields, and a title built for the words buyers type. A product can have real demand and still sit unseen because the category expects fields the seller never filled in, which is why eBay title and listing structure is a research input, not an afterthought. A TikTok product record doesn't carry any of this.
A supplier that fits. Knowing an item sells is half the decision. The other half is whether a supplier will ship it to your buyer at a cost that leaves a margin and within a delivery time eBay buyers accept. Dropship.io's Portfolio drops include AliExpress and Alibaba suppliers, which helps.
Getting a Dropship.io product onto eBay
There are two routes, and both add work or cost.
- Through AutoDS. Dropship.io offers one-click import to AutoDS from the Product Library and Competitor Research, and AutoDS can list to eBay. That works, but it means paying for a second subscription and still validating the product against eBay demand first. Our AutoDS review and our list of AutoDS alternatives cover that side.
- By hand. Take the product idea, check it in eBay's Product research, find a supplier, write the title and item specifics, set a price that covers eBay's fees, and list it. That is the full job a listing tool is meant to shorten.
Either way, the product still needs watching after it goes live. A validated product stops paying the moment the supplier raises its price or runs out, and on a manually managed store you usually find out from a buyer. Our guide to holding a margin with an eBay repricer explains why that matters as much as the research.
The real cost per validated product
The sticker price is the least interesting number. What matters is the cost per product that actually earns its place in your eBay store. Here is an illustration, not a forecast. Say you run Standard at $59 a month and pull thirty candidates. Each one needs checking against eBay sold history before it earns a listing slot. Say eight survive that check, five can be sourced at a workable cost, and two go on to sell steadily. That is $29.50 of subscription per keeper, plus the hours you spent cross-checking, before you pay for any listing or fulfillment tool.
Yearly billing changes the shape of the bet, not its size. Standard falls from $59 to $34 a month, but only if you pay $408 up front, which commits a year to a research feed before you know whether its leads convert in your eBay categories. For a seller still finding a niche, the monthly plan is the cheaper mistake. For a seller who has already proven the leads translate, the yearly saving is real.
Run the same sums with eBay's Product research and the subscription line disappears. Run them with a sourcing tool that starts from eBay sales, and much of the cross-checking disappears too.
Dropship.io pros and cons for eBay sellers
Pros

- Large credit allowances on every plan, and unlimited Competitor Research from Standard up.
- Portfolio drops come with suppliers, saturation notes and a numbers breakdown, which is useful for learning how products are evaluated.
- One-click import to Shopify or AutoDS, and a Chrome extension for research while you browse.
- Monthly plans you can cancel from your account settings at any time.
Cons
- No eBay sold history, sell-through or category data anywhere in the product.
- No way to import to eBay without another tool.
- Credits are metered by viewing, and they reset each billing cycle.
- Basic limits Competitor Research to 20 searches a day.
- Portfolio products are shared with other subscribers, so they are better as inspiration than as a product plan.
- Trustpilot's page for Dropship currently says the rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and that it has removed a number of fake reviews for the company.
Dropship.io review verdict: who should use it, and what eBay sellers should use instead
Dropship.io earns its subscription for a seller running a Shopify store or selling on TikTok Shop, buying traffic on Facebook or TikTok, and treating ad and creator research as a core job. For that reader it is a reasonable line item. The tool isn't weak. It is aimed somewhere else.
For an eBay seller, it is an expensive way to generate leads that still have to be checked, sourced and listed with other tools. Our pick for eBay sellers is Ecomli, paired with eBay's own Product research. Ecomli is our product, so here is the comparison laid out plainly:
| What you need | Ecomli Product Hunting | eBay Product research | Dropship.io |
|---|---|---|---|
| Where the data comes from | A competitor eBay seller's sold history or current listings, plus Amazon and AliExpress catalogs | eBay sales data from the last 3 years | TikTok Shop products and shops, Facebook ads, online store listings |
| Evidence the item sells on eBay | Items already sold in a live eBay store | Sold prices, sell-through and sales trends | None from eBay |
| Supplier attached | Matched to Amazon or AliExpress | No | AliExpress and Alibaba suppliers on Portfolio drops |
| Gets the product onto eBay | Yes, through Create Listings | No | No, imports go to Shopify or AutoDS |
| Keeps live listings in line with the supplier | Yes, Stock Monitoring | No | No, it is a research tool |
| Price (as of Sep 2026) | Included in every plan, from $29 a month | Included with Seller Hub | $39 to $99 a month, or $26 to $49 a month billed yearly |
The stack we'd put in front of an eBay seller starts with eBay's free data and adds automation where it pays back first. Use Product research for demand and seasonality, because real sold history beats any estimate. Use Ecomli's Product Hunting to turn that demand into a sourced catalog, then Create Listings to publish it. If you still want social-ad research on top, Dropship.io can sit alongside as an ideas feed, as long as every idea is checked against eBay before it becomes a listing. Our list of Dropship.io alternatives for eBay sellers and the wider guide to eBay dropshipping software compare more options.
How to do this in Ecomli
Ecomli is a non-API browser extension for eBay dropshippers. It works through the eBay seller account already signed in to your desktop Chrome browser, so there is no API connection to authorize, and it uses Amazon and AliExpress as suppliers. Here is the research-to-listing loop that replaces a TikTok shortlist:
- Start from eBay demand. Point Product Hunting at a competitor eBay seller and it researches their sold history or current listings and matches the items to Amazon or AliExpress. You can also search Amazon keywords, Best Sellers or category, brand and store pages, or paste an AliExpress store link. Filter by price, keywords, reviews and ratings, Amazon FBA or AliExpress Choice, and save a hunt to resume later. A sold match is evidence, not proof of profit.
- Send picks straight to the lister. Create Listings reads the supplier product, prices it with your markup, writes optional AI titles and AI descriptions from the supplier facts, applies your description template, runs Safety Shield and duplicate checks, and fills eBay's listing form in your seller session, up to 10 listings at once. It is worth checking the item specifics your category expects before you publish. Safety Shield is a checkpoint that screens for flagged brands and restricted items, not a guarantee.
- Keep the listing honest after it goes live. Stock Monitoring checks supplier stock and prices for your Ecomli listings and updates the eBay price and quantity, or ends out-of-stock items, using your rules. If a supplier read fails, the listing is held unchanged rather than ended.
- Handle orders. Starter orders manually. Pro adds Basic Auto Ordering, where you click Auto Order and Ecomli places the supplier order in your own browser. On Scale, once you turn it on, Advanced Auto Ordering runs on Ecomli's servers and places the supplier order for new eBay orders without a click, as long as each order is within your buying limits. Tracking Conversions then converts supported AliExpress tracking and Amazon TBA tracking numbers into eBay-compatible tracking after its automatic checks. Conversions through Aquiline use add-on credits.
- Measure and prune. The Overview dashboard shows eBay sales, fees, Promoted Listings costs, refunds, supplier costs and recorded profit by day or period. On Pro and Scale, Auto Pruner ends dead listings in one click by your rules, such as zero views and/or zero sales over a period you choose, which helps when you are raising your eBay selling limits.
Most of these tasks run in your desktop browser while it is open. Scale includes 3 eBay account seats and 1 VA seat, so one research effort can feed more than one store. Plans start at $29 a month, billed monthly in USD with a 7-day money-back guarantee on your first payment, and you can compare Starter, Pro and Scale on the pricing page to see which plan adds what. If AI-assisted research is what drew you to Dropship.io, our roundup of AI tools for eBay sellers covers tools that work from eBay data, and the automation overview shows how Ecomli's pieces connect.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Dropship.io cost per month?
On its pricing page as of Sep 2026, Basic is $39 a month, Standard $59 and Premium $99 on monthly billing. Yearly billing works out to $26, $34 and $49 a month, charged as $312, $408 and $588 a year. You can cancel at any time from your account settings.
Does Dropship.io work for eBay sellers?
Only indirectly. Its data comes from TikTok Shop, Facebook ads and online store listings, and its pricing page doesn't mention eBay. An eBay seller can use it for trend ideas, but every candidate still has to be checked against eBay sold history, sourced, and listed with another tool.
Can Dropship.io import products directly to an eBay store?
No. One-click import goes to Shopify (100, 250 or 500 imports a month by plan) or to AutoDS. To reach eBay you either import to AutoDS and list from there, or build the listing yourself.
Is Dropship.io legit, and is it legal to use?
It is an ordinary research subscription operated by Dropship FZCO, with an address in Dubai Silicon Oasis listed on its site. Using research software like this is normal. Two things are worth knowing. Trustpilot's page for Dropship says the company's rating is unavailable due to a breach of its guidelines and that it has removed a number of fake reviews, so weigh the reviews there with care. And the rules that matter for your store are the marketplace's, such as eBay's rights-owner rules, not the research tool's.
Is Dropship.io's sales data accurate enough to act on?
Dropship.io describes its TikTok Shop figures as real sales and revenue data, and its Facebook advertiser figures as estimates based on EU ad spend and reach. Treat both as signals about TikTok and Facebook demand, not eBay demand. For an eBay decision, cross-check against eBay's Product research, where the numbers are completed eBay sales.
Do dropshippers actually make money?
Some do and many don't, and there is no reliable typical figure. On eBay, the result comes down to margin after the 13.6% final value fee and $0.40 per-order fee in most categories, the supplier cost, returns and ad spend, and to keeping prices in line when suppliers change. Research tools help you find candidates. They don't make a product profitable.
Is dropshipping dead in 2026?
No, but it rewards the basics: a margin that survives eBay's fees, suppliers that ship on time, and prices kept in line when suppliers change. Our guide to how eBay dropshipping works covers the model in more depth.
What should eBay sellers use instead of Dropship.io?
Ecomli is our pick, paired with eBay's own Product research. Product research shows real eBay sold history for free inside Seller Hub. Ecomli's Product Hunting researches what competitor eBay sellers have already sold, matches each item to an Amazon or AliExpress supplier, and sends it to Create Listings, so you end up with a listing-ready product rather than a name to research again. Ecomli makes the tool, so check it against your own categories.
